I can’t wait to share this with you..
For years I felt really out of control with my mood and thought it was just part of my personality. Teachers would ask my parents to put me on ADHD medications. I would wake up praying that I would be in a good mood, feel less sensitive and irritable, and have the sarcastic wit I loved about myself. Somedays were great and I felt on fire and super with it.. but others were not and the constant rollercoaster was scary not knowing what I was going to wake up to.
My wakeup call to actually start caring about how my body feels and what it needs and not just focus on how I physically looked was a moment at an art gallery I worked at. Three years ago in the kitchen of the gallery after wolfing down lunch, I took a sip of sparkling water and couldn’t swallow. My throat got tight and all I could do was let the water dribble out. I leaned over the sink and then it went black. I woke up on the floor alone, scared, not knowing how long I was out. I got up and went back to work.. embarassed, confused, and terrified of what happened. That day changed my life. I called my sister and she referred me to her childhood best friend who was a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner. From there, I became a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner and here I am today ready to help support women nourish their bodies.
When I started eating more naturally, I finally realized the undeniable connection between my gut health and my brain health. What I ate directly correlated to my moods, mental clarity and thirst for life, feelings, ability to cope, anxiety, stress management, and energy.
Over the years with many wrong turns, food and mood journals, changes in eating habits, becoming a nutritional therapy practitioner.. I have regained control over my mood, energy, and overall health.
It’s important to me to share what I have learned so you don’t feel this way anymore. This is not you. You are experiencing the side affects of your diet. You deserve to feel good and I’m going to give you the tools you need to show up as your best self every dang day!
Thank you for giving me the space to share part of my story.
